Pop Warner Little Scholars, Inc. is a non-profit organization founded in 1929 by Joe Tomlin to develop youth football and cheer and dance programs nationwide.  The Pop Warner umbrella has over 120 leagues, serving around 350,000 members.  More than 40,000 volunteers and coaches train annually with programs such as YCADA and USA Heads Up Football to bring the latest and safest methods to the playing field and athletes.

The mission of Pop Warner is to allow young athletes to benefit from participation in team sports and activities in a structured environment, therein encouraging them “to practice the ideals of sportsmanship, scholarship and physical fitness as reflected in the life of the late Glenn Scobie “Pop” Warner.”  Their goal is to produce young men and women who value athletics and scholastics equally as a means to develop sound character throughout life.

As a league under National Pop Warner’s leadership, Greenbrier Pop Warner seeks to instill in each young athlete that joins our program core values such as teamwork, commitment, leadership and dedication.  We have worked hard for 10 years to ensure that not only are we safely developing their bodies, but also their minds, by monitoring and encouraging scholastic excellence.
